Mission Statement
The Kentucky Association for School Technology is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional organization. KAST is committed to the support of technology in and for education. KAST is governed by a Board consisting of 9 officers, 8 Regional Representatives, and an Executive Director, all of whom (except for the Executive Director) volunteer their time. The board meets monthly, and sponsors two major events each year, it’s Fall Training Event, and a large conference in March. In addition, through its grants and services arm KAST Outreach, and the generous sponsorship and support of KAST’s vendor partners, KAST promotes its interests through grants, partnerships, and special programs.
Its members consist of district technology coordinators, technicians, tech resource/integration specialists, Student Technology Leadership Program coordinators and sponsors, library media specialists, general district and school leadership, and classroom teachers who share a passion for the use of technology in learning.
